FAQ

How does your sourcing service work?

We manage the entire process of sourcing products directly from verified factories in China.

This typically includes:

• Supplier research and shortlisting
• Quote comparison and negotiation
• Sample coordination
• Production oversight
• Quality inspection
• Freight coordination to Australia

We act as your sourcing partner — ensuring transparency, quality control and cost efficiency throughout the process.

How do you charge?

We operate on a transparent commission model, typically 7–10% of the total order value depending on project scope and complexity.

For product development or custom tooling projects, a fixed project fee may apply.

There are no hidden markups on supplier pricing.

Can you guarantee cost savings?

While every product is different, most clients see 20–40% improvement in landed costs compared to buying locally through distributors or wholesalers.

Our focus is not just lower pricing — it’s better margin through factory-direct relationships and smart logistics.

How do you verify factories?

We do not rely solely on online listings.

Our vetting process includes:

• Business licence verification
• Factory capability assessment
• Direct communication with management
• Sample evaluation
• Production checks
• Third-party inspections when required

We prioritise real manufacturers over trading companies whenever possible.

What is MOQ?

MOQ stands for Minimum Order Quantity.

Factories typically require a minimum production volume to manufacture a product. MOQ varies by product type and manufacturing complexity.

We negotiate MOQs where possible and advise on feasibility before any commitment is made.

What payment terms are typical?

Standard terms are:

• 30% deposit to begin production
• 70% balance after inspection and before shipment

We guide clients through secure payment methods and risk mitigation.

Do you handle shipping and customs?

Yes.

We coordinate freight from factory to Australia and Worldwide, including:

• Sea or air freight options
• Freight forwarder coordination
• Documentation management
• Assistance with customs clearance

Final customs duties and GST are paid directly by the importer.

How long does the process take?

Typical timelines:

• Sourcing & quotes: 1–3 weeks
• Sampling: 1–3 weeks
• Production: 20–45 days
• Sea freight to Australia: 2–5 weeks

Air freight is faster but more expensive.

We provide clear timeline expectations before production begins.

What types of products do you source?

We specialise in:

  • Outdoor and BBQ products
  • Steel and fabricated items
  • Trade hardware and equipment
  • Hospitality and Farming equipment
  • Private label product development
  • Surf, boating and camping equipment

If your product falls within these categories, we’re likely a good fit. Though as you can see from our recent sourced products we can go outside these categories.

Do you work with startups?

Yes — provided the order volume is commercially viable for factory production.

We are best suited to businesses ready to place meaningful orders and build long-term supply relationships.

What are the risks of importing from China?

Common risks include:

• Poor quality control
• Miscommunication
• Unverified suppliers
• Production delays
• Compliance issues

Our role is to reduce these risks through structured process and supplier verification.

Do you visit factories?

We regularly visit our preferred factories.

Factory visits and trade shows can be arranged depending on project size and requirements.

We also utilise third-party inspection agencies when appropriate.

Major trade events such as the Canton Fair can be valuable for supplier discovery and relationship building.

Is my product idea protected?

We are happy to sign NDAs where required.

For patented or highly specialised products, we recommend consulting an intellectual property lawyer to ensure full protection before manufacturing begins.

How do I get started?

Start with a discovery call or email. (0417755008 or livewildau@gmail.com)

• Your product
• Target pricing
• Order volume
• Timeline
• Feasibility

From there, we outline the next steps clearly and transparently.
